Chimeracom calls these new analgesic drugs the Elpis™ family of drugs, naming them after the mythological personification of hope. In Greek mythology, Zeus trapped Elpis along with the other daimones inside a jar and entrusted it to the care of Pandora. When Pandora in her curiosity released the harmful spirits from the jar, Elpis (Hope) remained behind so that she could comfort mankind. She was the only "good" god that remained living among mankind.
